TODAY’S GUEST
In today’s episode, Eva and Olga welcome Jon Bergmann, one of the pioneers of the Flipped Class Movement. Jon co-founded The Flipped Learning Network™ (FlippedLearning.org ), a nonprofit organization that provides teachers with the resources they need to implement flipped learning. He received the Presidential Award for Excellence for Math and Science Teaching in 2002 and was named a semi-finalist for the Colorado Teacher of the Year in 2010.
Today, he talks to our Eva and Olga about what flipped learning is and how it can change the future of public schools. He believes that using videos or other instructional content – often online – will help students master new ideas outside the traditional class setting and that it allows more strategic in-class time for group work and individualized attention.

In this episode, Jon emphasized how the internet and online video has ushered in a new era of learning — where you can learn practically anything online. This has the impact of re-imagining how classroom can function but it also empowers you to learn about any subject you are interested in at anytime. This week, we are challenging you to “Teach Yourself Anything” — with your parents’ supervision, go onto Youtube or Google and find instructional videos on something you’ve always been curious about. To inspire you to take the challenge, we created this amazing artwork that can be customized with your face and name, and it is 100% free to download. Click here to claim you free download
If you complete the challenge, please let Olga know by emailing her at [email protected]. You will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Amazon Gift card and 1-month free membership in Post Pal Club. Winners are selected monthly and contacted by email (as well as announced on our show!).
