SOLO EPISODE FROM EVA

As parents, we have worked very hard to eliminate phrases like “That’s impossible” and “I can’t do it” from our kids’ vocabulary. Turns out with the word IMPOSSIBLE — you can just add a space and an apostrophe, and IMPOSSIBLE becomes I’M POSSIBLE. This idea certainly hit home with the US election earlier this month, in which Kamala Harris became the first woman and person of color to be elected Vice President.

Let’s not forget…. it was just one hundred years ago — in August 1920 — that the 19th amendment to the constitution was passed which gave women the right to vote. And then in 1965, just 55 years ago, the Voting Rights act was passed to prohibit the terrible racial discrimination in voting that will forever remain a stain on U.S. democracy.

For our American listeners regardless who you vote for, I think we can all agree that shattering these barriers is a good thing for our country. I know that Eva and so many girls around the country heard Kamala’s speech and now wholeheartedly believe that women can be leaders at the highest level of government. In this episode, Eva shares her feelings about believing that anything is possible, even if it has not been done before.
